These foods you include in your diet when you start getting spots and feel PMT
before and during your period
They will help to cool you down, make you calmer, more relaxed. At the same time they keep up your physical strength.
Grains: Barley, wheat (Cooling and tonic)
Vegetables: Aubergines, broccoli, celery, chicory, spinach (Cooling and tonic for the body)

After your period add these foods to your diet and continue with the cycle, add the herbs and spices to your meals, they are very important, drink the lovely teas
Grains: Corn, millet couscous, oats, rice, wheat (These foods strengthen your body)
Vegetables: Asparagus, fennel, potato, string bean, sweet potato, watercress, yam, kelp, laver seaweed (All these vegetables enrich the body energies and the blood quality – seaweed softens hard lump – use small amounts)
Fruit: Blackberries, cherries, grapes, lemons, limes, cranberries, raspberries (These fruit as well as acting as tonics also detox and help rid of pustules)
Herbs: Chives, dill seeds, fennel seeds, fenugreek, basil, oregano, parsley, black pepper, sage, rosemary, thyme (These are all aromatics their aroma stimulates the digestion and make it more efficient, they also stimulate the body to eliminate lumps and pus gently)

Dairy: eggs. goat milk (Tonics without being greasy)
Condiments: Miso, soya sauce, molasses, salt (All these condiments act as detoxifiers and softeners- don’t over use them)
Drinks: coffee, dandelion, jasmine tea, star anise, licorice (These drinks gently move the energy in the body)

Managing the skin
This can be tricky, you probably have mixed skin conditions some greasy and some dry and the skin will likely change at times of the month. What you need to do is to dry the spots as soon as possible, prevent build up of blood and mucus, avoid scarring and being left with a red mark after the spots are gone. Non white skins in particular, need to be very careful in managing the condition.
Check with your GP and ensure they give you products that stop the spots from getting too big and purulent. Go to a professional beautician once, and learn good skin management.
